My favorite song on that album is Corinne, a powerful and strong song.
The guitar parts are amazing in Very elephant Man.
Nothing Else Mattered is the fastest song with melodies which remain in head.
Body Language makes me think of some Circle’s song.
Amputee‘s Finale is absolutely magic.
The artwork is beautiful, this spring is the animal’s theme season.
A very good album.

The sound is huge.
The artwork is at the same time beautiful and useful : No more ophtalmologists.
The hit in that 7″ is It’s Raining On One Of My Islands, with a powerful sound, amazing guitar parts and David Yow’s great vocal performance.
Le Petit Chaperon Beige is a scary song.

I love the energy in Twenty Four Thousand People and the part at 0:54. Funny lyrics ha ha.
I Always Said He Was Weird‘s melodies are abslutely amazing (genius at 1:58 with its variation).
With I Quite Like It Here, Ventura prove us again their talent in composition and ambiences. Terrific at 0:59.
All The Reasons Not To, I love the part at 1:39 which kills.
I love Demons‘ emo touch.
A good album !

Here is Ventura’s first album and one of my favorite in their discography.
Probably because it sounds as a crossover between Biffy Clyro, Poison The Well (their last album). It is powerful, enriched in melodies, like in I Keep Starting and its terrific Finale.
This gives a second life to that song compared to the split version.
The ambiences and the rhythmic patterns in Everything and The Color Of My Dope are amazing.
What a power in I Keep Position, I love how the bass guitar is in front in the mix.
I love the part at 1:31 in Thoughts And Speeches.
It is really hard to find a copy of that record.
A Must-Have-In-Your-Collection.

Ventura/Cortez Split

Ventura is a great rock band.
These swiss men play a powerful and melodic music, and specifically on that 10″ their music is close to punk/hardcore.
I love the song Train, really efficient.
I Keep Starting is much more rock and in the latest releases’ vein. The guitar and bass guitar sounds are great and I love the vocals on “Doubt is invading again“.
