Howling Fever
(2013, D.I.Y.) France.

I met Romain Siergie a couple years ago when he directed our video clip for No Artificial Color with H.O.Z.
Romain is good with picture and video (as you can see on this digipack artwork), but he’s good in composition as well.
Howling Fever plays a powerful and moving music, between Liars, Akimbo or The Melvins.
The first song in this album is not my favorite in deed.
The slap comes with Distorted Colors and a terrific vocal performance. I love the variation at 2:28 in that song.
Then arrives a moving homage named Song For Ferdinand. the arpeggio are amazing, the chorus efficient and the singing always beautiful.
My favorite song is Sunshine Hobo with a powerful chorus and a screamed Finale at 2:11. I think the sound and mix is at its best on that song and show the drum at its advantage.
You’ll find that mix of power and feelings in Tower (huge at 1:26) and in Coward (which makes me think of the great Black Elk. The silence and guitar feedback idea is genius).
If you can see them live, run ! You’ll find all that energy on stage as it was when I saw them in Paris @ L’espace B the 20th of March 2013.
A good album !
