Secret Ep (7″)
(2010, Royal Rhino Records) Canada
François Soulier, my friend, introduced me to Gobble Gobble, an avant-garde pop band from the future.
Then I ordered their 7″ that I received here in Europe really fast !
The cover art will surprise you. The front side corresponds with the ambiances in their music, but anyone who flips to the other side will be eaten.
It’s a transparent vinyl. It’s the first time I’ve seen this and it’s really cool.
But let’s get back to the most important part : Music.
Lawn Knives is an amazing song. We get this kind of fine electro-pop with
many digital effects over it and the vocals : it glitches, it clitchizes : it glunchizes (I’ll invent definitions for these words on wikipedia soon, as I did for the french word cluncher : http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/cluncher)
