Arctic Monkey

Suck It and See

(2011, Domino) UK

After a more cerebral 3rd album where they slightly lost themselve in their quest for originality, the band recorded a happier, more spontanious and more revival new one.No more “so british” indie dancy punk, no more sweet balad, no more acne. The Arctic Monkeys are retro and it smells the burnt fuzz, the hippies, the stoners, the yéyés and even the roadtrips in the countryside.
Opening for Queens of the Stone Age apparently changed the band. You can even find Josh Homme singing on All My Own Stunts.
Produced by James Ford again, Suck It and See doesn’t bring anything new but is still a really cool album to listen to !
