Here is Paul Banks first album from his side project under his name.

Let’s start with this amazing artwork, photographs he took himself.

This album sounds like Interpol’s earliest album and this is what I like about it. You may think that by listening to No Mistakes.

You’ll notice the addition of violins and keyboards more than in Interpol.

My favorite song and the strongest is Paid For That, the chorus is very powerful and full of melodies, bravo !

I love the bass guitar lines in I’ll Sue You and Summertime Is Coming.

Arise, Awake displays interesting ambiences.

A good album.

Et voici le premier album du side-project de Paul Banks sous son nom.

Tout d’abord commençons par l’artwork qui en jette, il s’agit de photographies faites par Paul lui-même.

Cet album sonne pour moi comme les débuts d’Interpol et c’est précisément ce que j’aime. On pensera ça dans le titre No Mistakes par exemple.

On notera aussi l’apparition d’autres instruments de façon plus présente tels claviers et violons.

Pour moi le titre le plus fort est Paid For That, le refrain est vraiment très puissant et mélodique, bravo !

J’adore les lignes de basses dans I’ll Sue You et dans Summertime Is Coming.

Arise, Awake propose des ambiances intéressantes.

Un bon album.
